Basic Membership Short Story and Novel Excerpt Contest

Welcome to the first Rochester Writers Association's Shorts Contest.

What: A short story/novel excerpt contest with cash prizes given to the top three stories

When: Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2010, winners will be announced April 30, 2010.

Rules: No more than 1000 words will be accepted for submission. Each submission requires word count, title, and author's name. Entry fee is $15.00. We will accept one submission correction after the initial submission is accepted without charge. This is not a prompt or set genre contest, anything goes. If you come in first place, your name, brief bio of you, and your story will be posted to the website until the next contest. If you are sending a novel excerpt, please ensure it is a stand alone piece.

If you have a premium membership please click on the premium membership short story contest. If you do not have a premium membership, and you pay the reduced fee, your submission will be disqualified.
